CruisesThere are many boat cruises available on Hilton Head. They include dinner cruises, sunset cruises, fireworks cruises and nature cruises. Fireworks cruisesAlmost every commercial boat on Hilton head offers Tuesday night cruises to watch the fireworks at Shelter Cove. Your best bet is to pick the boat you want to be on and call them or the marina where they operate. You can even go on a kayak expedition to the fireworks, but be advised every commercial boat and many private boats go, and it's dark when it's time to leave. Kayaks are very hard to see in the dark, and a considerable amount of alcohol is consumed at these events. You couldn't pay me to go by kayak. Sunset CruisesThese popular cruises can be enjoyed on sail boats, power boats of any size
and even kayaks. Most boats offer sunset cruises, some coupled with the Tuesday
night fireworks at Shelter Cove. Here are a few of many possibilities: Pau Hana is the island's largest sailing catamaran. This boat is 53 Ft long with a 26 Ft. beam and holds 49 passengers comfortably. You may bring a cooler or use theirs. 843-686-2582. Departs from the Palmetto Bay Marina. Sunset and fireworks. Schooner Welcome is a 62 Ft. Concordia cutter with unusual gaff rigged sails. She carries 30 passengers and is a replica of a US Revenue cutter from 1795. Sunset and fireworks. Sails from Shelter Cove Harbour. 843-785-5566. Special K is a charter 40 Ft sailing yacht holding six passengers and departing from Shelter Cove Marina. 843-842-7002. Spirit of Harbour Town is a large motor yacht with air conditioned lower deck and covered upper deck. They offer a sunset dinner cruise which includes fireworks on Tuesdays (in season). Departs from Harbour Town Marina. 843-363-9026.
